Beach balls are large, soft plastic, inflatable balls invented in California around 1938 and usually credited to Jonathan DeLonge. Beach balls are made in a wide variety of sizes. Because they are so light weight even when fully inflated, they are easy to bat around between individuals with little to no effort making them the perfect accessory to a lazy day at the beach. The balls are currently made in many different sizes, the most popular range from approximately 6 inches up to four feet.
